redefine, decode, distort

This experimental etude explores the themes of "redefine," "decode," and "distort," combining glitch effects and vibrant color. Designed to capture a magazine or editorial aesthetic, it centers on three looping videos that pixelate and unpixelate, moving between clarity and abstraction. Each video presents a unique message and visual style:

The main video features a central figure in vibrant lime green against a contrasting background, with the text "REDEFINED" positioned below. The subject and text subtly shift into pixelated forms, disorienting yet controlled, before resetting to a slightly softened original state. The second video focuses on a close-up of a head in dark green, with "DECODE" text mirroring the pixelation in the same looping manner. The third is a grid of the word "DISTORT" in a muted grey that scrolls vertically, its pattern also shifting in and out of pixelation.

With a minimalistic, monochromatic palette and a tone that is calm yet chaotic, the etude explores a new editorial edge through live photography and pixel manipulation. Created for personal experimentation, this project marks a first step into digital editorial aesthetics. It can be viewed on Instagram at @zedzara_.
